Periscope Do's & Don'ts From Long Island Advertising Agencies

By Paula Hess

Periscope is, to put it simply, the video streaming service owned by Twitter. It has since become a staple of social media engagement, as Long Island advertising agencies and companies around the world have been able to put it into effect. There's no denying the fact that Periscope matters, provided it's used well. For those who would like to know how this can be done, here are a few do's & don'ts that you should follow.

DO incorporate the right titles. One of the many things that you should know about Persicope is that projects can be titled. You have to make sure that this is done well, since it will be the first step to bringing in viewers. Titles should be accurate, which goes without saying, but they must also grab people's attention without hesitation. This will take time to perfect, but authorities such as fishbat will tell you that it goes a long way.

DON'T ignore the hearts. Much like how Twitter has likes, Periscope has hearts. Periscope users can give hearts to users, in order to let them know that their content is being enjoyed. However, in order to get the most out of these, you have to be able to give as much as receive them. Hearts matter and when you give them to others, provided their content is worthwhile, you'll be able to get even more out of Periscope.

DO focus on your own interests. While it might go without saying, Periscope users are most success when they're discussing topics they're interested in. For example, if you're someone who loves video games, why not create streams at local and well-known conventions? This will show that you know what you're talking about, not to mention allow you to enjoy your work that much more. Any Long Island advertising agency will agree that interests matter.

DON'T forget to study. Did you know that it's entirely possible to study Periscope? You can do this by watching the streams that other Periscope users create, surveying what they do right and what could benefit from some improvement. You can take the information you gain here and apply it to your own streams, allowing them to become even better. By taking the time to study, your success with this social channel will grow.
