Walmart's New Savings Catcher App

By Dawood Sajid

Walmart has released a brand new savings catcher called the Killer app. This will allow people to always know what is on sale. It will also get them the best deals when they shop at the store.

The Savings Catcher app is very easy to use. Once a Walmart purchase is completed, the customer can scan a code on their receipt or enter a code in the Savings Catcher app. The app will then retrieve information about the purchase and compare prices with other stores.

The problem with this current procedure is that a lot of the information can be in accurately reported and conveyed. This application makes it possible to take that data, essentially their patterns of purchasing certain merchandise and goods, in order to properly serve them with coupons on what they are more likely to buy.

Users can check their Savings Catcher balance through the app and redeem the savings for a gift card. An eGift Card is issued and can be used online or in Walmart stores. The Savings Catcher program can also be access on the Walmart websites for users who do not wish to download the app.

So how this all comes together is that if people are purchasing something at Wal-Mart, the information about what they have purchased, when they purchased it, and all of the other data that goes with that is now actually conveyed into a software program related to the app that is being used. This gives Wal-Mart all of the information that it needs to understand your buying habits, and in doing so, provide you with a better shopping experience and discounts on the things that you actually want, not just coupons on whatever they happen to want to sell at a lower price.

Although this application seems to be very simple, no one has ever done this before. Hopefully this will help Wal-Mart provide consumers with better options, higher discounts, as they begin to track exactly what it is that you purchase, and when you purchase it, so that you can get even more savings by shopping with this company.
