It is essential to have a clear grasp of how to correctly do email marketing. Your emails must reach your intended target and actually be read to be effective. Customers already know your designs, logo and colors and they associate you with these details. So when they see these colors and designs in their emails, they're more likely to not delete any mail you send to them.

The worst mistake email marketing newbies do is thinking you can generate results fast by buying an email lists. The reality is that most people don't realize that these lists are being resold all over the internet. Don't waste your money with untargeted prospects, instead focus on building your own list of email contacts that will most likely have better results than trying to buy a list from someone else.

When writing your emails keep the subject line brief and to the point. Concise subject lines are more effective at capturing the reader's attention than wordy ones. If a long subject line is unavoidable, at least lead with the most relevant information so that is doesn't get truncated upon delivery.

But perhaps one of the worst mistakes you need to avoid is adding people to your list without their permission. Make sure that the leads you get into your subscriber base are because they opted in. If there's something you don't want is having to reply to a bunch of angry subscribers who didn't ask to receive anything from you.
