Empower Network Brings Innovative Blog

By Philip Danner

A all new update, referred to as "ENV2" has brought some important transformations to the Empower Network blogging platform. You may have caught a bunch of the build-up concerning it.

Until now though, you might have had your email inbox flooded with mail from Empower Network members informing you that something new was on it's way, there hasn't been very much information about exactly what these changes might be.

What is changing?

The Empower Network blogging system has been completely reworked and is quite different compared to what it was before.

The principal emphasis on the new system has been on easiness. And simple it is.

The popular blogging software, Wordpress, was the heart for the development on the first Empower Network blogging system. This was useful but left a lot to be desired for those people who were not particularly technically savvy. For folks like me, who have been blogging for a while, the old platform was okay. But for the bulk of new members it was still complicated and overwhelming and quite far from "plug-and-play".

Apparently someone over at Empower Network administration spotted the same because the new ENV2 system has really made things easier.

Today a completely unhatted blogger logs in, takes a look at the large image icons near the top of the page and makes a selection. The options are text, video, image or audio. They type in the relevant information, possibly choose a file to upload from their PC and that's all.

Unsure how such could get any easier and still let one to make a new post. One doesn't actually even have to be able to read.

Even the ability to edit the CODE of a new post has been eliminated for the sake of less confusion. Just the visual editor is still available. Even though very experienced Wordpress users, particularly those who prefer to make more sophisticated alignments, tables, etc. can find this confining, for the typical person this is far more relaxed and easy on the brain I would imagine.

Amongst the most notable modifications includes the Empower Network mobile app, making it easy to blog, upload video, and so forth, right from your i-phone. One function that seems to be a triumph is the capability for people to record a video on their i-phone, then upload that video to your blog and post it in only a few clicks of your thumb. The concept is that you can develop your business from just about anywhere utilizing your phone and you don't even have to hunch over your computer keyboard. It should be considered that this sort of thing is facilitated only by also becoming a customer of Empower Network's video hosting service.

ENV2 was developed specifically to allow coordination between your phone, the EN system and the EN video hosting service. Some people will balk about having to pay for video hosting services. This is easy to understand but using free video services like YouTube isn't a really intelligent thing to do for a business owner. A lot of chance of having one's account banned. No functionality has been eliminated for video embedding. It can still be done simply with an embed code or a YT link. The video hosting service provided by EN is there if one desires to be able to do video blogging directly from their mobile phone with a couple clicks.

Yes, the additional simplicity will be in exchange for a lowering of personalization and features. It is an update for the majority, not the expert blogger.

One of the items that has been made even is the inclusion of photos to your posts. One doesn't have to align or size their photos ever again. Only a couple clicks and the system does the rest, scales it appropriately. Text wrapping is not an issue.

Different in the new version is something called an "Activity Feed", much like your Facebook feed. Empower Network customers now see a feed when they log in, which contains extracts of new blog posts posted by other Empower Network users to whom they are connected.

With any new content that you post now you can choose to have a fragment of that post made available to groups of your choosing within their Activity Feed. Every new post can be shown to every person in your EN team or only to particular levels of membership. This may be beneficial for individuals who wish to have restricted content reserved for a certain membership level, or when the blog post is only relevant to certain membership levels.

Moreover Empower Network has incorporated the ability to do a one-click swipe of any of the articles you discover on your Activity Feed. Such is quick content curation and brings lots of possibilities for social engagement and marketing by itself.

Thus it has graduated to be more simple, less to learn, and certainly fewer headaches for the average new blogger entering this sort of activity for the first time.
