Mobile Ad Revenue Coming From Interstitials

By Bilal Amed

AppFlood, a China-based ad network for mobile platforms, released a report on the types of ads that generate the most revenues. The report found that interstitial ads generate 70% of the revenues recorded by the company on over 400 billion devices. A significant percentage of these interstitial ads were videos or rich content.

The Power Of Video

Video advertising has gradually improved in recent years, especially on websites such as YouTube. The ability to rank a YouTube video on the Internet is much simpler than it has been in the past, which means that more advertisers are using this type of medium in order to generate additional sales.

In spite of the report's flaws, it's clear that video is going to become an increasingly important part of mobile advertising. It's an excellent way to make sure you reach the people you want to read with your advertising. Other forms of advertising are beginning to become outdated in comparison.

Although there are many other ways to advertise online, and generate a substantial profit, the best way to do this, for cell phone advertising, is to use the power of video. If you have a business that you would like to boost in regard to profit and revenue, video is certainly the best way to go. Tapping into cellular customers is a huge arena that requires a medium that can capture their attention, with no better way to do this than by advertising your products and services using videos today.

In some cases, the user has to watch a video before being able to access the page they wanted to see or have to stay on the interstitial page for a few seconds before the page they were navigating to loads. These ads can be considered as intrusive but you can make sure that your audience has a good experience with your ads by properly targeting users and providing them with quality content. If you use mobile ads to promote your products or services, you should look into interstitial ads. These ads are more expensive because they are perceived as more intrusive but they will yield better results for your campaign.
